It was fantastic drama that was played out at Anfield on Boxing Day evening. A much-needed win simply evaded Kenny Dalglish's side due to an inadvertent error committed by Charlie Adam. Without much of an effort, Blackburn Rovers managed to snatch a 1-1 draw against Liverpool at the Premier League match.

Adam fired into his own post on 45 minutes. The Scottish midfielder accidentally backflicked a corner from Morten Gamst Pedersen past Pepe Reina.

The equaliser came on 53 minutes when Maxi Rodriguez scored with a beautiful header. But that was not enough to see them through. At least, Liverpool were able to deny Rovers a memorable win at Anfield.
