The world is familiar with singer Lady Gaga's proclivity to update her fans on everything that happens to and around her and the singer has posted several photographs of herself in different looks - with make-up, before concerts, after concerts and more. More recently, her photo shoots for a fragrance advertisement raised several eyebrows. Now, however, the 26 year old has gone a step further, posting a decidedly raunchy image of herself on her official Web site, LittleMonsters.com.

The Poker Face singer has been photographed almost naked - save for a pair of flesh-coloured inners, has no make-up and has left her blonde hair loose. The shot shows her sitting in an armchair, hugging her legs to her chest.

"Resting after BARNEY'S GAGA WORKSHOP OPENING IN NY," the accompanying note read, indicating the photograph was taken in November last year, when she was collaborating with the department store.

Meanwhile, Lady Gaga is all set to make her film debut - in the role of La Chameleon - in Robert Rodriguez' film Machete Kills, the sequel to 2010's Machete. The news was confirmed by the singer, via her Twitter account: "Yes its true, I will be making my debut as an actress ln the amazing MACHETE KILLS BY @RODRIGUEZ IM SO EXCITED!!! AH! Filming was insane."

An excited Lady Gaga also re-tweeted the 44-year-old filmmaker's quotes: "I just finished working with @LadyGaga on @MacheteKills , she kicked SO MUCH ASS! Holy Smokes. Blown away."

The poster for the film shows Lady Gaga holding a smoking pistol with the skin of a white wolf draped around her. The star is seen only wearing suspenders.

Other cast members of Machete Kills include Charlie Sheen and Danny Trejo, as well as Mel Gibson, Sofia Vergara, Amber Heard, Jessica Alba, Michele Rodriguez and Vanessa Hudgens.

Finally, the singer also showed her support for beleaguered star couple Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, who are in the middle of working out their relationship after it was revealed that Stewart was cheating on Pattinson with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders. The singer urged people to leave the couple alone, so they could work out their issues.

"Geez this kirstew rob stuff is brutal. Makes me sad the way press acts. Hope they're ok," Lady Gaga tweeted.
