Khloe Kardashian and other members of her family have rushed to be by Lamar Odom's side as he fights for life. TMZ reports that the 31-year-old reality star dropped everything after news broke that her ex-husband had been found unconscious at a brothel in Nevada.

According to E! Online, the Khloe looked distraught as she took a flight to Las Vegas, accompanied by her sister Kim and mum Kris Jenner. Insiders close to the situation say that Khloeis "completely inconsolable and heartbroken" following her former partner's hospitalisation. The couple married in 2009 after a whirlwind romance but she filed for divorce in 2013, citing irreconcilable differences. The divorce was finalised in July this year.

The 35-year-old former NBA star was rushed to a Las Vegas hospital on 13 October after he was found unresponsive at Love Ranch South in Pahrump. Dennis Hof, the brothel's owner, revealed that the athlete had been used what he described as "herbal Viagra".The 6ft 9 baller was reportedly partying at the ranch alone over the past five days, without any of his friends.

"It's a real shock," Hof told NBC News. "It's terrible that our business is being disrupted. Here's a guy who just wanted to have a good time and be private, and it's tragic."

Hof said an unidentified woman found Odom passed out face-down in his room. When she turned him over there was "mucus-type liquid coming out of his nose and mouth", according to reports. "It doesn't look good," a source said.

Despite the breakdown of their marriage Khloe recently admitted that Odom will always be part of her life. "I will never, ever not love Lamar. I was so obsessed with him in a healthy way. He was my husband, and I still wish he was, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that," she told E! News.

She added: "There's nothing I can do. Lamar has to do things in order to change in that aspect, but yeah, if I had my way I'd be married to Lamar in two seconds."

Odom is father to daughter, Destiny, and a son, Lamar Jr, from a previous relationship with Liza Monzales. Their six-month-old child Jayden passed away from cot death in 2006.
