Lanarkshire anti-isis sign
It's not known who put up the sign, but its a sentiment shared by communities around the world Twitter

The local people from the Scottish town of Lanarkshire have made their sentiments about terror group Islamic State very clear. An unofficial sign has been erected on the outskirts of Larkhall, South Lanarkshire which welcomes visitors to the tiny village with a population of 15,000.

However, underneath the welcoming message is a stern and uncensored warning to anyone associated with the terror group. It reads: "Except ISIS. You t***s can f*** off."

The photograph which captures the defiant spirit and humour of the Scottish people and expresses a sentiment shared by communities across the globe, has gone viral on Twitter and elicited a humourous response on social media, Mail Online reports.

One person wrote: "Looks like Larkhall people are stopping isis at the border." Another joked: "Counter-terrorism budget cuts are really starting to take their toll." "Well done Larkhall," said one social media user who applauded the comment.

It is not known who added the apt caveat, but it is an honest reaction to the wave of atrocities committed by the terror group in recent weeks, and a view shared by millions.
