The man accused of murdering Tottenham musician Lukey Maxwell has been given a preliminary trial date at the Old Bailey.

Arthur Gorol, 36, of Tregelles Road, Hoddesdon, is scheduled to enter a plea at the London court on 26 August and has been given a preliminary trial date of 12 October.

He was refused bail on 10 June and has been remanded in custody until his next hearing.

The four men (aged 40, 55, 32 and 34) and two women (aged 42 and 47) arrested on 5 June in connection with the 22 year old's death have been released with no further action.

Maxwell was found collapsed on the street in Northumberland Park in the early hours of 5 June. Paramedics fought to save his life but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Tributes have poured in from across Tottenham, where he was a well-known face. London rapper Chip (formerly Chipmunk), real name Jahmaal Fyffe, led messages of condolence.

"Can't sleep or think straight. This one doesn't seem real. Never imagined seeing the Triplets without Lukey," he tweeted.
