Miss World Organisation has revealed the top ten contestants of its Beach Fashion round, one of the most anticipated contests of the pageant.
The finalists were chosen after the contestants took part in a poolside demonstration of 125 ways to tie a sarong; as reported earlier, this year's contestants did not have to wear bikini for the beach beauty round. They sported rather a more conventional Balinese sarong and blouse.
The event took place in Bali, where a series of activities for the pageant is taking place before the contestants finally move to Jakarta for the Miss World 2013 Finals.
Of the total 130 contestants, 33 made it to the semi-final list of beachwear round following the preliminary rounds of the Beach Fashion catwalk.
The final ten were decided after the second round of the contest. Miss England Kirsty Heslewood has failed to make it to the list. However, two contestants tied at number ten. The final 11 contestants will take part in an exclusive photo shoot that will be the basis for choosing the winner of the Beach Fashion contest.
The Miss World 2013 contestants have to compete for a number of distinct awards, including Beach Fashion, Top Model, Sports and Fitness, Beauty with a Purpose, Talent Competition and the World Fashion Designer Award, before vying for the coveted title at the pageant's finale on 28 September. Winners of each round will be announced at the final event.
The top ten Beach Fashion contestants are from the countries - France, Brazil, China PR, Italy, Jamaica, Ghana, Philippines, Ukraine, Moldova, Indonesia and Spain. Have a look at the finalists' photos from the beach beauty contest:
