Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill: Has Hip hop's hottest couple broken off 'toxic' relationship?

They were considered hip hop's hottest new couple but rumours are rife that Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill have split.

Feeling Myself rapper Minaj sparked the break-up rumours when she shared a melancholic photo of herself on Instagram and other cryptic messages on Twitter which led people to believe she had dumped Mill, 28.

In one message, the 32-year-old claimed she had "dodged the bullet" while adding that the unidentified person "blew it".

Celebrity website Urban Islandz also alleges that the Young Money star has given back what is widely speculated to be her engagement ring to Meek Mill following a reported rough patch in their relationship.

A source reportedly told the website: "This isn't the first time they have relationship problems... He thinks that she is too bossy and a diva and she also thinks that he is bossy and controlling. Their relationship was getting more and more toxic by the day.

"She has returned the ring that Meek Mill gave to her and told him she wants nothing more to do with him."

Although Meek Mill has not responded to the split claims, he recently denied that he had proposed to the Truffle Butter hitmaker. The Maybach Music Group rapper, real name Robert Williams, stated to Fader magazine: "I ain't engaged."

"It's definitely real, but it ain't really time to get married yet. We're still learning each other, feeling each other out."

The engagement rumours were sparked in April when Minaj shared a photo of a diamond band on her wedding finger.

The couple began dating in December 2014 just a few months after the Starships rapper split from her long-time boyfriend Scaff Beezy.
