Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho says Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are all in contention to sign midfielder Nuri Sahin this summer.

The Turkish midfielder, who signed for Madrid last summer, has been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu after making just 10 appearances for the club last season after his move from Borussia Dortmund.

And Mourinho says that Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham are all in contention to sign the 23 year old, who the Portuguese boss wants to see gain regular first-team football.

Nuri Sahin
Sahin played just 10 games for Madrid last season.

"I just hope it happens soon for him, as it is best for him. Liverpool, Arsenal or Spurs, I have no preference," Mourinho said.

Having sold Alex Song to Barcelona, Arsenal are openly looking for improved midfield options before the transfer window closes at the end of August.

The club have already sign Santi Cazorla to fill the attacking contribution Song gave The Gunners, but with Jack Wilshere ruled out until October, a season long loan deal for Sahin would appeal.

Liverpool have also been linked with a move for Sahin, as Brendan Rodgers continues to revamp his midfield having already signed Joe Allen from former club Swansea City.

Tottenham Hotspur have not directly been linked with Sahin in the media, but with Luka Modric set to agree a move in the other direction, a move for the Turk would represent a decent return.

Sahin's decision could be influenced by the carrot of playing Champions League football, and with Liverpool and Spurs both having missed out qualification last season, Arsenal are currently favourites to clinch a deal for the 23 year old.

Meanwhile, Mourinho says that no bids have been submitted for Brazilian Kaka as rumours continue to swell over his future.

The 30 year old is still to make his mark with Madrid in his three seasons with the club, and has been linked with a return to AC Milan

"Kaka's situation is completely different. We have no official request for Kaka, we do for Nuri."
