An Ohio man has been charged with murder after allegedly shaking his one-month-old daughter so hard that she suffered a "brain bleed," Hamilton County court documents show.

On Thursday (20 July), 21-year-old Tyler Davis reportedly became frustrated with his young daughter, Annabella, and shook her for several seconds. The child's mother called 911 and said the girl was unresponsive and barely breathing.

"She's twitching, she's pale, she's to acting right. Her pupils are dilated," the concerned mother said. "Oh my god, I just need an ambulance please."

Davis was arrested the following day. According to WKRC, Davis appeared in court on Saturday (22 July), where he was ordered to stay away from his daughter and her mother.

According to FOX19, when the young girl died, Davis' felonious assault charges were upgraded to murder.

"The incident caused a brain bleed to the child, which resulted in her death on Saturday," Detective Richard Sak said in a sworn affidavit.

Davis is now being held on a $250,000 (£191,000) bond at the Hamilton County Justice Centre.
