A 30ft deep sinkhole that suddenly opened up on the driveway of a property in High Wycombe recently swallowing a parked car.

Nobody was in the VW Lupo when the ground collapsed. The crater was so deep that the car could not be seen. The car has now been removed, and the sinkhole has been filled with concrete.

In this gallery, IBTimesUK looks at sinkholes and giant craters around the world.
