While R-Patz's ex-Kristen Stewart is thousands of miles away in Japan, Pattinson relaxes in New York with latest gal pal.
The Twilight star has a new girlfriend, FKA Twigs, and they have been dating from more than a month, according to The Sun.
Robert Pattinson strolled ahead of singer FKA Twigs while walking enjoying the summer sunshine in New York City last week.
The singer, whose original name is Tahliah Barnett, released her debut Album LP1, which featured singles Two Weeks and Pendulum this year.
Twigs is believed to be Pattinson's first serious partner since splitting with fellow Twilight star Kristen Stewart.
A friend of the singer confided: "It's the real deal between Rob and Tahliah. They had been able to keep their relationship secret until recently, but they're already smitten.
"He's been taking her on dates for the last month or so, and has even flown her out to stay with him in New York. He also loves going to her gigs.
Not just 'Robert's Girlfriend'
"The main thing for Tahliah is that the relationship remains low key. She wants to be known for her music, not just as 'Robert Pattinson's girlfriend'.
"She's worried about being bogged down by constant comparisons to Kristen."
The 26 year-old singer was born in Gloucestershire to a Jamaican father and Spanish/English mother.
The über-cool British singer, who sometimes wears a bull-ring through her nose, is a former backing dancer for artists including Kylie Minogue, Jessie J and Ed Sheeran.
Meanwhile, Kristen Stewart was thousands of miles away in Japan, where she is promoting her new film, Equals, a futuristic utopian thriller in which she stars with British actor Nicholas Hoult.
Pattinson and Stewart have had an on-off affair for many years, and Kristen's affair with director Rupert Sanders in 2012 appears to have signalled the death knell to their Twilight romance.
Pattinson's latest film Life will be released in 2015. He recently told The Guardian that he'd like to appear in "something in a really small theatre".
He added: "I don't think I could do something on Broadway… But I'd quite like to do something kind of shocking."
