Samsung has announced a smaller version of their incredible popular Galaxy S3, and that it will be coming to the UK very soon.
Aptly named the Galaxy S3 Mini, the device will be a cheaper but less powerful version of the 4.8in screen original.
The S3 Mini runs on Jelly Bean, has a 5 megapixel camera, all inside a smaller 4in screen that puts it up against Apple's latest offering, the iPhone 5. The resolution of 800 x 400, considerably less than the iPhone 5's resolution of 1,136 x 640, and it doesn't come with 4G LTE.
Despite having a smaller screen, the phone is actually thicker that the original S3, measuring in at 9.85mm. But that doesn't mean the phone is heavier. In fact, it only weighs 111.5g, making it one of the lightest smartphones on the market.
The device will be coming to the UK soon, with retailers pricing the 8GB version at around £300. That's over £200 cheaper that what the iPhone 5 is retailing for, but when the specs of the two are compared, the Galaxy S3 Mini appears a bit of a lightweight.
