A gunman who killed seven people and wounded three others at a Christian college in California has been named by Police as former nursing student Huan Goh.

According to witnesses the gunman,who hadn't been at college for about four months, entered the reception area of the college on Monday morning and opened fire before walking into a classroom and spraying the room with bullets. He Initially targeted one student,before firing indiscriminately. As the incident was going on Police swarmed the college and students were moved to safety.

In a press conference Oakland police chief Howard Jordan said 'it would take a few days "to put the pieces together", adding: "We do not have a motive."

This attack comes after an Ohio high school student also opened fire on fellow students in February, killing three and injuring six.
