Suits season 6
The official poster for Suits season 6 USA Network

USA Network has released the synopsis and trailer for Suits season 6, which is set to premiere on 13 July 2016. While Mike Ross will deal with the harsh realities of life in prison, Harvey, Jessica, Louis, Donna and Rachel will have to rebuild their firm, which has become a "ghost town" after Mike's fallout.

The network has released two promos teasing Mike's life in prison. The first promo opens with his hair being trimmed at the federal prison as the scenes flash back and forth to season 5 showing Harvey urging Mike not to take the deal and Rachel asking Mike to wait for the verdict.

Then we see Mike in a blue jumpsuit being escorted to his prison cell by police, as he takes a good look at his fellow inmates.

The second promo flashes back to his life as a fraud lawyer at Pearson Specter Litt, almost hinting at the fact that season 6 will be about Mike facing the consequences of his long con. Th promo says: "Some lies cannot be undone," and ends with a shot of Mike in his prison cell.

The fifth season of the legal drama ended with Mike taking the two-year plea deal and entering federal prison on charges of fraud. Previously, showrunner Aaron Korsh spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about the season 6 plot and shared: "We're coming back right where we lef off. We're coming back to the very night that we ended the episode on. The entire episode as is currently contemplated takes place with Mike's first night in prison and the first night back at the firm when they've come back and it's empty."

Here is the synopsis released for Suits season 6:

After signing a plea deal to spare his colleagues at Pearson Specter Litt, Mike will be confronted with the harsh realities of prison life as he starts his two-year sentence. Meanwhile, the once bustling Pearson Specter Litt offices are a ghost town — the partners have defected, leaving Harvey, Jessica, Louis, Donna and Rachel to pick up the pieces. But the firm's troubles are far from over, and they will have to deal with the fallout from Mike's crime before they can even begin to rebuild.
