Suspected Burglar Falls Asleep on Bed During Robbery Attempt

A dozy suspected burglar has been snapped sleeping on a bed inside a home he was allegedly trying to rob.

Dion Davis is accused of trying to steal a bag full of jewellery from a home in Nokomis, Florida. However, a cleaning lady found the 29-year-old asleep on the bed inside the home next to the bag he was allegedly trying to take.

Davis was still asleep when police arrived at the scene and didn't even wake up after officers started taking pictures of him.

The photos, along with an accompanying mugshot following his arrest, were uploaded to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office Facebook page along with the caption: "Talk about falling asleep on the job".

"That must be one comfortable bed" one user commented.

Davis was charged with burglary and booked into jail on $10,000 (£6,100) bail.
