Shocking footage has emerged of the moment police shot dead one of the terrorists involved in the car attack in Cambrils.

A total of five people were killed by police following the attack in the coastal town, which occured hours after a van drove into a crowd of people in Barcelona.

In footage obtained by Spanish media, one of the five men can be seen confronting officers before being shot at several times. The terrorist managed to stumble back to his feet while police continued to fire, before eventually being shot down again while attempting to cross the road.

The man seen in the footage is believed to have stabbed a woman before being taken down.

In the clip, posted by La Vanguardia, a British man can be heard swearing in disbelief at the indecent.

Eyewitness Fitzroy Davies, from Wolverhampton, described how the man could be heard "ranting and raving" before he was neutralised.

He told the MailOnline: "He must have been on drugs. He was taunting, smiling, laughing and he carried on walking to the police, and then they gave it to him again, a couple more shots and then he fell to the ground."

Elsewhere, it has been reported that the other four terrorists involved in the Cambrils attack were shot dead by one officer single handily.

According to reports, the officer from the Catalonia police force Mossos d'Esquadra killed the other four men, who were armed with guns, machetes and axes, as they ran towards police after their vehicle flipped over.

A total of 14 people have been killed in the double terror attacks in Spain, including one woman who died from her injuries sustained in Cambrils. More than 130 people were also injured in the attacks, 17 of whom critically.

Authorities said the injured of both the attacks included nationalities from 34 different countries.

A total of four people have arrested in connection with the attacks in Barcelona and Cambrils. Police were hunting Moussa Oukabir, who is suspected of being the driver of the van used in Barelona, but it is not yet known if he is among the arrested suspects.
