The Lyon Family are back to entertain you with the second season of Empire premiering on Wednesday, 23 September at 9pm EST on FOX Network. Episode 1 of season 2 is titled, The Devils Are Here, where Kelly Rowland, Marisa Tomei, Chris Rock, Don Lemon, Al Sharpton, Andre Leon Talley, Tyra Ferrell and Swiss Beatz will make guest appearances.

The pilot season of the hit American drama TV series ended with Lucious being jailed, and this season will find the former CEO of Empire Entertainment trying to run his company from inside prison. Meanwhile, tables have turned for Cookie, as she is no longer the caged bird, and will stage a concert for Lucious, while secretly planning a hostile takeover of the Empire with Andre, Hakeem, Anika and Mimi Whiteman. According to the synopsis of episode 1, season 2 picks up three months after the arrest and incarceration of Lucious, who is trying to run his Empire Entertainment from inside federal lockup. While, a headline-grabbing state prosecutor hangs her political ambitions on bringing Lucious down; and Cookie stages a star-studded concert in support of her ex, while at the same time she's plotting to finalise a hostile takeover of his company.

In the latest promo of the show, we can Cookie visiting Lucious in prison. He questions her: "Why you looking like Mr T?" To which Cookie explains that she didn't come all the way to prison "to play games with him. Lucious chuckles and says: "Whatever reason, I still love you. I do and I am so sorry that I didn't come to come to visit you all these years in here. This place is hell."

"You have been here 3 months, talk to me after 5 years, there is any justice we will have that conversation," a visibly hurt Cookie replies. "You mean that?" questions Lucious and she hits back at him saying: "You think I don't because I throw you that little concert."

Then, Lucious says that he knows that she wanted to impress that big investor and apologises saying, "Sorry that didn't work out for you babe." To which Cookie explains that she did all this for their son. "It's tearing our babies apart for having you here," Cookie tells Lucious, and the two laugh on a joke Cookie cracks about Anika. The video ends with Lucious saying: "Its crazy how I can love you and hate you at the same moment."
