Though the exact reason for Khan's death is not known, reports suggest that she has been depressed for quite some time in the past few months.

The actress's mother Rabiya Amin, told police that Khan did not see a bright future in film industry and wanted to take up a career in Interior designing.

Amin said that Khan was recently rejected at an audition in Hyderabad city of Andhra Pradesh state and was upset following her failure.

Ram Gopal Verma, the director of her debut film, tweeted on Tuesday suggesting that Khan felt like a failure over all and was depressed.

"The last time I met her Jiah told me that everyone around her makes her feel like a failure," Verma tweeted.
