Kanye West Literally 'Does Not Want To Be Involved' With Milo Yiannopoulos After ICE Deportation

Kanye West has reportedly distanced himself from following the British commentator's deportation from the United States, according to a Daily Mail report citing an unnamed source.

Yiannopoulos was arrested by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport on 27 August and deported to the United Kingdom the following day after authorities said he had overstayed his authorised period of stay.

Yiannopoulos, 41, was taken into custody by ICE on Thursday, 27 August, at the New Orleans airport and removed to the UK on Friday, 28 August, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) confirmed.

DHS said he had legally entered the United States in May 2019 but remained beyond his authorised period of stay, and that an immigration judge issued a final order of removal on 22 July after he failed to appear for his hearing. In its statement, DHS referred to Yiannopoulos as an 'illegal alien from the United Kingdom.'

Reported Split With Kanye West

The Daily Mail reported that West 'does not want to be involved with Milo anymore' and has asked him to move out of one of his properties, citing an unnamed source.

The same source claimed West 'had no idea why Milo was coming to the concert' ahead of his Caesars Superdome show in New Orleans, and that Yiannopoulos had not been trusted within his circle for some time.

These claims rest solely on the unnamed source and have not been independently corroborated by on‑the‑record statements from West or his representatives.

Yiannopoulos previously served as West's chief of staff and briefly managed his unsuccessful 2024 presidential campaign, according to multiple outlets. He had also described himself as West's publicist, though that title was never formally assigned, the Daily Mail's source said.

Immigration Status and Past Advocacy

Yiannopoulos had previously claimed to be in the US on an O‑1 nonimmigrant visa, a category for individuals with 'extraordinary ability,' but it remains unclear whether that status was ever formally granted or maintained. DHS said he entered legally in 2019 and later violated immigration requirements, leading to the final removal order.

His deportation drew attention online because he had previously advocated tougher immigration enforcement, including ICE checkpoints at supermarkets and on‑the‑spot deportations for those unable to prove legal residency.

2024 Yeezy Adult‑Content Dispute

Their professional relationship had already suffered a major break in 2024 when Yiannopoulos resigned from Yeezy over West's plans to launch an adult‑entertainment venture, citing moral and religious objections.

Yiannopoulos left open the possibility of returning if West permanently abandoned the adult‑film plans, but the latest reported rift would mark another deterioration in their relationship.

West has previously spoken publicly about his struggles with pornography, including in a 2019 interview with Zane Lowe, though he has not explicitly linked those comments to his 2024 business decisions.

Separate Civil Lawsuit: Benjamin Provo

The deportation story also comes as West faces a separate civil lawsuit brought by former Donda Academy employee Benjamin Provo. Provo has asked the court to prevent West from arguing that he was of 'unsound mind' during the events underlying the case, alleging that West did not provide medical records or other evidence supporting the claim during discovery.

As of 1 September, no ruling had been reported on the request. West, Yiannopoulos and Bianca Censori have been identified as potential witnesses in the case, although being listed does not necessarily mean any of them will ultimately testify.
