Meghan Markle Still Feels 'Let Down' by Kate Middleton as Sussexes Return to UK Amid Royal Rift
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are preparing to spend more time in the UK

Meghan Markle is reportedly still seeking greater trust with Kate Middleton as she and Prince Harry settle back into the UK with their children, Archie and Lilibet, according to an anonymous source cited by royal media.
The claims come as the Sussexes return to Britain for an extended period as private citizens, bringing Archie and Lilibet closer to their royal relatives. However, there has been no public confirmation from Meghan, Kate, Prince Harry, Prince William or Buckingham Palace about the reported rift.
Meghan Reportedly Wants Kate To Rebuild Trust
According to an insider, Meghan remains open to improving her relationship with Kate but does not want to be the only person making an effort.
The source claimed Meghan believes Kate could have handled some situations differently during their time as working royals and feels the Princess of Wales did not always defend her against negative rumours.
The source further claimed Meghan would welcome better relations but would not 'beg' or 'grovel' to make a reconciliation happen. Instead, Kate would also need to take steps towards rebuilding the trust between them.
These comments have not been independently verified, and neither woman has publicly addressed the latest claims.
Harry and Meghan's Relationship With Kate Middleton
The reported tension between Meghan and Kate has attracted attention since the Sussexes stepped down as senior working royals in 2020.
In the years that followed, Harry and Meghan discussed their experiences within the Royal Family through interviews, their Netflix documentary series and Harry's 2023 memoir, Spare.
Harry wrote about disagreements involving Meghan and Kate, including an incident concerning lip gloss during wedding preparations and a conversation about 'baby brain.'
The accounts added to public interest in the relationship between the two women, although neither has provided a detailed public account of their private feelings about each other.
Sussexes Return To UK With Archie and Lilibet
The latest claims come as Harry and Meghan make a significant change to their family life.
The couple, who moved primarily to California after stepping back from royal duties, are returning to the UK for an extended period with Archie and Lilibet. Their children are expected to attend a British school from September 2026.
The Sussexes are returning as private individuals and are not expected to resume official royal duties. They are also retaining their Montecito home.
King Charles has reportedly been informed about the family's plans, while reports have linked their UK base to a private residence outside London.
Prince William and Kate Middleton Maintain Distance
The move places Harry and Meghan geographically closer to Prince William and Kate, but it does not necessarily signal an immediate reconciliation between the families.
Reports have described William and Kate as cautious about rebuilding relations, while Harry and his brother are understood to have remained distant.
Any renewed contact between the Sussexes and the Wales family is therefore likely to attract considerable attention, particularly as Archie and Lilibet spend more time in Britain.
For Meghan and Kate, however, the question of repairing their relationship remains unresolved.
