An enviable body and perfect skin is what one generally thinks of when it comes to defining the look of a pornographic actress. But there is an awful lot of work that goes into presenting such perfection and now, those who dare to bare all have taken it a step further.

Make-up artist Melissa Murphy, who has been in the profession for eight years, has posted photographs of nearly 100 actresses... without any make-up. And she says there isn't really any difference in working for the perfect look, whether a porn star or a bride.

"If you're going to make a woman beautiful," she told HuffPost Weird News, "you're just going to make the woman beautiful."

The photographs have been posted to the 35-year-old artist's Instagram account and she admits she has been surprised by the volume of feedback, positive or otherwise. She was also quick to pay tribute to the women who agreed to the exercise.

"I am grateful to all the models who have allowed me [to use their photos]," she said.

The photographs have XXX actresses posing with their natural looks - some have blemished skin, others greasy foreheads or unkempt hair or pasty complexions - just like the girl next door. And although the photographs may not (indeed, have not) impressed some men, women are probably reassured after the perfect masks came off.

Check out some of the comments from Instagram users below:

deepc91169:"Melissa, your work is unmatched. Your models are all very courageous to take these b/a pix knowing that some would ridicule them. They are all beautiful just the way they are."

Barhopapp: "This is why guys have no chance. Deception! What are we supposed to think when her face comes off haha."

There were some rather angry users, like Amberroseeast, who wrote: "IM F*****g MAD!. I'm deleting Instagram right now bye."

By and large, the make-up artist's work has been appreciated with many of them asking her secrets behind the transformation of the ladies.
