Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's looming return to the UK will trigger 'endless drama' and a fresh wave of media leaks from inside the royal family, Piers Morgan has claimed, as a record-breaking episode of his digital show dissected the couple's next move.

The broadcaster's comments came as he revealed that the latest instalment of The Royals Uncensored had become the most-watched episode in the programme's history.

Announcing the milestone on X on Tuesday, Morgan shared a link to last week's show, which focused on Prince Harry and Meghan's reported plans to come back to Britain, and told followers: 'This latest episode of The Royals Uncensored is the most-viewed in the show's history. Thanks for watching, and congrats to the team!'

Record Episode Puts Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Under Fresh Spotlight

The episode, part of Morgan's growing digital media venture, was fronted by former magazine editor Jo Elvin and filmed in studio. Elvin introduced a stacked panel, telling viewers:

'In studio, we have co-host and royal butler Grant Harold, of course, plus some extra special guests today: NBC royal commentator Daisy McCandrew, entertainment and royal reporter at news.com.au, Brontë Coy, and royal journalist and author Robert Jobson.'

The panel picked over Prince Harry and Meghan's anticipated return, revisiting the couple's most contentious claims since 'Megxit' and asking whether there was any appetite for a Sussex homecoming at all.

Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield weighed in on the couple's life in the United States, offering her take on why Harry and Meghan have struggled to settle in properly in California and to establish the media and business empire many assumed would follow their move.

The discussion looped back, repeatedly, to whether they had overplayed their hand with public accusations against the royal family.

Viewers were also drawn into the debate. Elvin revealed the results of a social media poll conducted by the show, in which audiences were asked: 'Do you want Harry and Megan back in the UK?' The answer was emphatic on their platforms, at least.

'Look at that figure. 88% said no,' she said, adding that any return was unlikely to go down well with Prince William either.

Those numbers are not a scientific poll, of course, but they do give Morgan and his team something they are clearly happy to brandish. For a host who has built much of his latter-day persona around criticising the Sussexes, it is a tidy little vindication.

Piers Morgan Warns of 'Sussex Circus' if Couple Return

Morgan has not been able to resist adding his own running commentary. When reports emerged last week that Meghan and Harry were preparing to leave California for a stint back in the UK, the former Britain's Got Talent judge posted on X that he might have to 'emigrate to the US' if the couple returned.

He quickly followed with a much sharper assessment, accusing the duke and duchess of using their royal ties while complaining about scrutiny.

'The one nailed-down certainty about the return of the Sussex circus clowns to Britain is that there will be endless drama, damaging leaks by them to the media about the Royal Family, and simultaneous hypocritical whining about 'privacy invasion' by the same media,' he wrote.

There is no evidence in the episode notes or Morgan's posts that he has specific inside information about any planned leaks, and the couple's camp has not responded publicly to his latest barbs.

Old Grudge With Meghan Markle Still Fuelling Fire

Morgan has openly rooted his hostility towards Meghan in a personal grievance that goes back to the start of her relationship with Prince Harry. The presenter has long claimed he was once close to the actress, describing late-night messages and drinks in London before she met the prince.

On Ireland's Late Late Show, Morgan recounted what he says was their final encounter. 'We had two hours in the pub, she had a couple of dirty martinis and pints, we got on brilliantly,' he told the programme.

He said he put Meghan in a cab after their night out, and that she then headed to a party where she met Prince Harry. 'The next night, they had a solo dinner, and that was the last I ever heard from Meghan Markle. I never heard from her again; Meghan Markle ghosted me.'

Unverified or not, that story has become central to Morgan's public mythology. Since then, he has repeatedly attacked both Meghan and Harry on television and online, framing himself as a truth-teller against what he portrays as their spin.

The feud exploded into a full-blown TV moment in 2021 when Morgan walked off the set of Good Morning Britain after a tense clash with weather presenter Alex Beresford.

Beresford accused him on air of an obsessive campaign to 'trash' Meghan, and pointedly suggested she was entitled to cut Morgan off if she wanted to.

'I understand that you don't like Meghan Markle. You've made it so clear a number of times on this programme,' Beresford told him. 'Has she said anything about you since she cut you off? I don't think she has, but you continue to trash her.'

Morgan left the studio mid-discussion. Shortly afterwards, ITV confirmed that he had decided to quit Good Morning Britain altogether.

All of which helps explain why a panel show about Prince Harry and Meghan, fronted, shaped and gleefully promoted by Piers Morgan, is pulling in record numbers. Love him or loathe him, viewers clearly cannot look away from this stuff.
