Viola Davis ditched her wigs and weaves at the weekend when she chose to wear her hair natural for Oscar night.
The nominee for Best Actress for her role in The Help was relaxed and comfortable as she embraced her natural locks, dyed a reddish hue, for the Academy Awards.
Dressed in an emerald Vera Wang gown and green earrings, Davis looked stunning on the red carpet.
She said that it was with her husband's encouragement that she was able to go natural.
She told E!'s Ryan Seacrest: "My husband wanted me to take the wig off . He said, 'If you want to wear it for your career, that's fine, but in your life wear your hair. Step into who you are.'"
