Ric Flair's fiancée has asked people to pray for the WWE legend as he is suffering from "multiple organ problems" following a successful surgery for an undisclosed condition on Monday (14 August).

Wendy Barlow has said that the two-time WWE Hall of Famer, who was admitted to hospital in Atlanta on 11 August by his family members, is still in critical condition even though it was said that he is recovering after the surgery.

"Just wanted to give an update to my friends and Family as I have been unable to talk on the phone without crying and just feel shocked over events...," she wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.

"I took Ric to the Hospital Friday night with Severe Abdominal pain. From that moment on it all seems like a nightmare.... multiple Organ problems."

She also rubbished reports that claimed the 16-time WWE world champion was admitted for colon surgery.

"Not to go into too many details. I want everyone to know he still needs Prayers as he is still in Critical Condition. And No he did not have Colon Surgery...," she said.

"It was another Surgery! I don't know how the Media comes up with their stories. I have been by his side since Friday and will continue to make sure he is getting the best care possible. Thanks for all of the support and Love."

Barlow's update on her fiancé's health comes just days after the 68-year-old former wrestler's representative said The Nature Boy underwent a successful surgery, which was not heart-related.

"Ric had surgery today (not [heart] related). Am happy 2report it was a success. Still a long road ahead so plz keep [praying] 4Ric Charlotte Megan David & Wendy," Melinda Morris Zanoni said.

Flair proposed to Barlow in July 2016 after dating her for three years. She was his former WCW manager.
