On the final day of his three-day official tour of Brazil on behalf of the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Prince Harry of Wales challenged Argentine polo player Nacho Figueras at the Sentebale Polo Cup in Campinas, Brazil, on 11 March, 2012.
The polo match was played in aid of the prince's children charity association, Sentebale, founded jointly by Prince Seeiso from the Lesotho Royal family and Prince Harry from the British Royal family. Sentebale was set up in memory of the princes' late mothers in order to raise funds and awareness for orphans and vulnerable children in Lesotho.
This was the third Sentebale Polo Cup match following its launch in Barbados 2010.
During the final day of the tour, Prince Harry said that he hoped that his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II was proud of what he had done.
"I tell you what, it's been an emotional trip. I'm absolutely exhausted but the warmth of the reception that we've received from every single country that we've been to has been amazing. I personally had no idea how much warmth there was towards the Queen," the Telegraph quoted Prince Harry as saying.
"To me that's been very humbling and I was actually quite choked up seeing the way they're celebrating her 60 years. She's thousands of miles away and yet they celebrated her in the way they did and made me feel so welcome, so I couldn't thank them more," he said.
Apart from Brazil, Prince Harry visited Belize, The Bahamas and Jamaica on behalf of the Queen as part of her Diamond Jubilee celebrations from 2 March to 8 March, 2012.
