Vin Diesel has teased Marvel fans with some exciting future possibilities for his Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 character Groot. The Fast And Furious actor said if it were up to director James Gunn, we could see a Groot and Rocket movie after Infinity War and Hulk butting heads with Groot someday.

Diesel said in an interview with Screen Junkies: "I think if it's up to James Gunn, you are going to see a Groot and Rocket movie after Infinity War. I think that's highly possible. We shall see. I know that, somewhere in the universe, you are going to see Groot and Hulk battle. You can write it somewhere. You are going to see that poster: Hulk vs. Groot."

The 49-year-old actor will reprise his tree character voice in the GOTG2, which also stars Chris Pratt as Star Lord/Peter Quill, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax The Destroyer and Bradley Cooper will voice Rocket Raccoon.

Previously, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Jonathan Schwartz said the sequel will feature a different side of Groot. He said, "He doesn't have the wisdom and experience of that Groot. He's a younger Groot and a more rambunctious Groot. The question is, is he the same Groot, just smaller? Or is he a different Groot that's sprung up from the seed of the first Groot?" he said.

The Marvel sequel is set in the backdrop of Awesome Mixtape #2 and it continues the misfit team's adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The movie is set for release on 5 May 2017 in the United States and 28 April in the United Kingdom.
