Janet Jackson has shared the first look at her three-month-old son Eissa on social media, after announcing her split from husband Wissam Al Mana on 11 April. The couple, who were married for five years, welcomed a baby boy in January, 2017.

Jackson took to Twitter to post pictures of her 14-week-old baby boy adorably yawning after a nap as the doting mother is seen gently kissing Eissa's forehead. Alongside the image, the Rhythm Nation singer wrote, "My baby and me after nap time".

A report in E News previously talked about how the new mother is doing after giving birth. A source told the outlet, "Janet is getting her strength back and feeling well. She has so much help around her, so that has alleviated stress. She just feels so blessed everything went well and her baby is healthy."

The 50-year-old American singer had been asked to rest during her pregnancy and she managed to have a "stress-free, healthy delivery" thanks to her doctors, said the insider. "She has some of the best doctors that helped her through it," the source added.

Al Mana recently posted a loving message directed towards his ex on his website. The 42-year-old wrote, "To the most beautiful person in the world, thank you for your divine love, your eternal support and for being my best friend. I love you so much, inshallah we will be together in the Great Forever x," in the message titled Love, next to a large black-and-white photo of ex- Jackson.

Reports suggest that Jackson and Al Mana's conflicting lifestyle may have led to their marriage falling apart. The 50-year-old reportedly converted to Islam following her marriage to her husband in 2013. A source close to the Grammy winner told Us weekly, "Wissam wanted a wife who stuck more with the Muslim traditions. Even before the baby was born, they clashed and butted heads a lot."
