Janet Jackson was spotted in public for the first time, with her baby boy Eissa, since the news about splitting up with husband Wissam Al Mana broke on 11 April.

The singer, who gave birth to her first child in January 2017, looked happy while taking a stroll around a London park accompanied by a woman on Wednesday 12 April, reported Daily Mail.

The doting mother was dressed casually in an all-black tracksuit and matching sneakers as she paused to check on her infant son and made sure he was tucked in. The 50-year-old looked unfazed from the recent breakup with her Qatari billionaire husband of five years.

Previously, reports have claimed that the couple broke up because of their conflicting lifestyles. A source close to the Grammy winner told Us weekly, "Wissam wanted a wife who stuck more with the Muslim traditions. Even before the baby was born, they clashed and butted heads a lot."

Jackson was spotted in October 2016, hand in hand with al-Mana wearing traditional Muslim clothes, according to the Mirror. She is reportedly a Islam convert following her marriage to her husband in 2013. Earlier that month it was confirmed that she was pregnant, aged 50, with her first child.

Jackson – who was previously married to James DeBarge and René Elizondo, Jr – changed her lifestyle since quietly tying the knot with al-Mana in 2012.

An insider has now said she wanted more freedom. The source told the gossip magazine Us weekly, "She felt like she couldn't be herself anymore," The star, who cut short her Unbreakable world tour last April to start a family, "thought her career was suffering, and she started resenting Wissam for it. She couldn't settle down and be what he wanted her to be. Janet wanted more freedom."

Her mother, Katherine, had spent two months in the UK bonding with Eissa, but flew home to L.A. on 30 March, as the source alleged that at the couple's London mansion, "Janet felt hidden away from her family. She missed them. "The source concluded by adding, "Janet loved Wissam. But she wants her life back."
