Kate Middleton's appeal as a director of fashion trends seems to be growing stronger by the day!

The Duchess of Cambridge is quite firmly established as a fashion icon and trendsetter. There are several women, not just in the UK, who follow her unspoken diktats.

Most recently, according to a report in The Sun, after she was seen wearing pale blue jeans, while walking her puppy in Kensington, apparently the demand for the denims shot up across stores.

In addition to having unconsciously promoted faded blue denims, Kate seems also to have popularised the tanned look and lip gloss.

"The Kate Middleton effect strikes again. Whenever the Duchess is out and about, we see an uplift in sales on our similar ranges," Asda store spokeswoman Bee Hessell was quoted as saying by The Sun.
