Suicide Squad
Suicide Squad is an anti-superhero movie starring Jared Leto and Margot Robbie among others DC Comics

Fans are anticipating trailers and teasers of Suicide Squad as there is less than a month left for the DC anti-hero flick to hit theatres. Warner Bros is using the opportunity to keep fans intrigued and has released a trailer that features the best of the lot – Batman, Joker, Harley Quinn, Amanda Waller among others.

The action-packed trailer includes short snippets of the best of DC's most dangerous villains and it ironically begins with what seems to be Jared Leto play Joker's maniacal laugh.

Following the release of Suicide Squad's colourful poster – shared by director David Ayer on Twitter – the latest trailer introduces fans to eccentricities of each character.

For instance, the shady government agent Amanda Waller makes an appearance in the video as she introduces her idea of assembling a pack of the most dangerous criminals to fight something even worse. "I want to build a team of some very bad people, who I can think can do something good," Viola Davis, who plays Waller in the movie, says.

What follows next, is a glimpse into the dark and psychotic world of these DC Comics villains, as each recruit showcases their talent and crazy characteristics. Clearly, the gang of criminals teaming up for their ultimate mission is nothing like a usual group of soldiers. Apart from the members of Task Force X – a crew recruited by Waller – Ben Affleck as Batman also makes a cameo in the international trailer.

Although Warner Bros wants to keep fans engaged with the short teasers and interesting trailers, the production has so far remained tight-lipped about the main plot or the supervillain who drives the bunch of villains.

Joining Jared Leto and Ben Affleck in the cast are Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Will Smith (Deadshot), Adam Beach (Slipknot), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), Karen Fukuhara (Katana). The DC movie directed by Ayer will be released in the US on 5 August 2016.
