The Walking Dead
The Walking Dead season 6 premieres on 11 October AMC

Looks like The Walking Dead season 6 makers are secretly looking for a character whose description strongly resembles that of the barbed wire baseball bat-wielding villain Negan. Rumours of the character appearing in season 6 of the popular zombie drama have been circulating for quite some time now with several cast and crew members teasing his role.

The Spoiling Dead Fans Facebook page, citing Spoil The Dead, posted a latest casting call for a character code named "Orin." The makers often use fake names while putting out casting calls to maintain plot and character secrecy. However, fans of The Walking Dead comic book would agree that the description (below) fits the characteristics of Negan:

"[ORIN] 30s to mid 40s. A physically imposing, charismatic, brutal, smart, ferocious, frightening, hilarious, inappropriate, oddly friendly, fun loving sociopath that is both a leader of men and a killer of men. He has both a practical and emotional intelligence, he's a brilliant strategist, he's pure, dangerous, murderous, often gleeful id, that still has both discipline and a code. And he has a temper that can vaporize people. He's truly one of the strongest personalities ever..."

While analysing The Walking Dead comic book issues, ComicBook.com states that the show is perfectly on pace to "introduce Negan in the season 6 finale." Executive producer Gale Anne Hurd also shed some light on Negan's debut on the show and hinted that the makers might follow The Walking Dead's comic book storyline when it comes to introducing him on the show.

"The thing is, as you know, we are always inspired by the comic book. There are times where we bring an existing panel in the comic book to life exactly," she told Zap2it in an earlier interview, while talking about potentially introducing Negan in season 6. The Walking Dead season 6 will premiere on 11 October 2015 on AMC with a 90-minute episode.
