Beyoncé's Oscars Party Sees Taylor Swift And Kim Kardashian Dodge Awkward Encounter
Both women were at Chateau Marmont but never crossed paths, sources say

Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian reportedly came close to running into each other at Beyoncé and Jay-Z's annual Gold Party at Chateau Marmont on 15 March, following the 98th Academy Awards in Los Angeles. The two did not interact, according to Page Six.
Swift was at the late-night bash with fiancé Travis Kelce. Kardashian was also confirmed among the guests. Sources told the outlet the women, whose public falling out dates back to 2016, avoided one another throughout the evening.
Swift And Kelce Slipped Between Oscars Afterparties Unnoticed

Neither Swift nor Kelce attended the ceremony at the Dolby Theatre, which was hosted by Conan O'Brien for the second consecutive year. They were not nominated and had no presenting duties.
Page Six reported the couple made 'stealth' entrances to several parties across the city. Celebrity gossip account DeuxMoi posted photographs that appeared to show Swift arriving at Chateau Marmont on Sunday night, with Kelce reportedly at her side. The pair had already been spotted in Los Angeles earlier in the week, dining at The Bird Streets, a private members' club in West Hollywood.
Sources said they spent the majority of the night at a gathering hosted by Madonna and her longtime manager Guy Oseary at his private residence in the Hollywood Hills. Now in its 18th year, the Oseary party is regarded as one of the most exclusive events on Oscars night. Swift and Kelce were at the same party in 2024.
The Gold Party guest list, per The Hollywood Reporter, included Best Actor winner Michael B. Jordan, Best Original Screenplay winner Ryan Coogler, nominee Timothée Chalamet, Austin Butler, Vin Diesel, and Megan Fox. The party ran into the early hours at the famed West Hollywood hotel.
Kardashian spent the earlier part of the night at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, where she wore a gold Gucci gown and was photographed alongside her mother Kris Jenner and sister Kendall Jenner, TMZ reported. Swift was not seen at the Vanity Fair gathering. The two women appear to have taken separate routes through the evening before both ending up at Chateau Marmont.
A Decade-Old Rift That Refuses To Fade

The tension between Swift and Kardashian goes back to 2016 and the fallout from Kanye West's track 'Famous,' which contained a crude lyric about the singer. Kardashian, then married to West, posted edited clips of a phone call between the pair that appeared to show Swift had approved the reference. Swift maintained she was never told the full lyric and, in a 2023 interview, called it a 'fully manufactured frame job.'
The fallout played out across multiple album cycles. Swift's 2017 record Reputation was widely read as a direct response, and her 2024 double album The Tortured Poets Department included a track called 'thanK you aIMee' - the capitalised letters spelling out 'KIM.' Neither woman has commented publicly on the reported near-encounter at the Gold Party.
Wedding Plans And Kelce's NFL Return

Swift and Kelce have been engaged since August 2025 and have kept a notably private schedule since. They were last photographed together in New York in late February at the restaurant Chez Margaux, and have been frequenting exclusive venues such as Zero Bond and the Polo Bar.
Several reports have pointed to 13 June 2026 as a possible wedding date, though neither has confirmed this. Kelce recently signed a one-year contract extension with the Kansas City Chiefs reportedly worth $12 million (£9.6 million), rising to $15 million (£12 million) with incentives, committing to a 14th NFL season. The three-time Super Bowl champion cited Swift's relentless work ethic as a key motivation behind his decision to continue playing.
Swift's most recent album, The Life of a Showgirl, continues to perform well on the charts. The 14-time Grammy winner has not announced any touring plans since wrapping up her record-breaking Eras Tour.
The 98th Academy Awards ceremony, held on 15 March, saw One Battle After Another win Best Picture. Jordan took Best Actor for Sinners, and Jessie Buckley was named Best Actress.
