Another email that appeared to be a draft letter from Gates' former top adviser, Boris Nikolic, also referred to Bill having an STD. The message, intended for the tech magnate, was drafted around the time he resigned from his philanthropic organisation, the Gates Foundation, formerly the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. In the letter, Nikolic wrote that he had been caught up in a serious marital conflict between Melinda and Bill, mentioning that he also helped the latter with procuring drugs to take care of the consequences of being intimate with the Russian girls.

Bill and Melinda Gates were married from 1994 until their divorce in 2021. The latter said that her ex-husband's extramarital relationships and connection to Jeffrey Epstein were some of the reasons that led to their separation.
