On February 9 he will look to secure the European title when he takes on Spain's Martinez and should he come out victorious then there has bee talk of a domestic showdown with Scott Quigg.

Frampton admits that the Manchester-based fighter is the only other opponent in Europe that he would fight as he looks to step up in class and challenge the very biggest names in the 122lb division.

"To be honest after Kiko, the only other fight in Europe that would interest me is Scott Quigg. No-one else comes close," Frampton told Sportsmole.

"If we can get a guarantee that Quigg would fight me, I'd be there in a heartbeat. If he's not interested then we will look to world titles. Romero and Lopez are fighting for the vacant IBF title next month, I'd be happy to take either of those guys on."

The super-bantamweight division currently features some truly world-class fighters in WBO champion Nonito Donaire, the man crowned the next Manny Pacquiao, hadened Mexican legend Abner Mares and former amateur star Guillermo Rigondeaux.

Frampton, himself a brilliant performer at amateur level, admits that his dream bout with be with Mares before stepping up to challenge Donaire and Rigondeaux, the two fighters he sees as the best out there.

"Abner Mares is another fight I'd like to get. I think Nonito Donaire and Guillermo Rigondeaux are a little bit in front and Top Rank can make that fight," added Frampton.

"I'm about a year away from challenging one of those guys but anyone else I can take on straight away."
