'Star' and Manson: Together, she claims

Helter Skelter murderer Charles Manson has "married" an obsessed fan who has shaved off all her hair and carved a cross in to her forehead.

The 25-year-old known as 'Star' proclaimed she does not care that Manson led a deranged 'family' of hippies who slaughtered actress Sharon Tate and eight others at the height of 1969's 'Summer of Love'.

Manson, who is serving life in jail in California for the massacre, hailed his unofficial wife from inside his jail cell, saying: "She's not a woman. She's a star in the Milky Way!"

Star claimed she fell for Manson after becoming hooked on his whacky environmental theory AWTA - which stands air, water, trees, animals - when she was 19.

She claimed: "I do not give one f*** whatsoever about 1969, personally.

"Sharon Tate wasn't a movie star. Even now, nobody's ever really heard of her, even though she supposedly got killed by Charlie Manson, the most famous guy in the world. And that's the only reason anybody knows who she is. And still nobody knows who the fuck she is."

Star moved to California in order to be close to Manson and even claimed her parents invited them to live in the family's basement, in the unlikely event Manson is ever released from prison.

But the 79-year-old and Star cannot consummate their relationship because Manson is denied conjugal visits due to the seriousness of his crime.

Judging by the profile of Manson in Rolling Stone, it may be a good thing for walking stick user Manson that their affection is limited to a kiss during meetings, held in a room under watch by guards.

Star spoke of her pain at only being allowed to kiss Manson and spoke of her wish for him to freed.

"I'll tell you straight up, Charlie and I are going to get married," she says. "When that will be, we don't know. But I take it very seriously. Charlie is my husband. Charlie told me to tell you this. We haven't told anybody about that."

When asked about conjugal visits, she said "California lifers no longer get them.

"I don't want to be always in that visiting room with people staring at me. But that's the only time I get to see him, in that room, with people staring. It's hard. But things change, you know. And who knows what could happen?"
