The Super Bowl 2026 national anthem performances produced one of the best moments in the history of music preceding Super Bowl LX. Taking the stage before the official start of Super Bowl LX, Charlie Puth, Brandi Carlile, and Coco Jones took centre stage at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, USA. Across the globe, fans streamed the ensemble. which was part of the Super Bowl 60 pregame lineup.

Charlie Puth performed the national anthem at Super Bowl LX tonight, 8 February 2026. He was accompanied by an all-white ensemble along with a small orchestra, delivering his version of 'The Star Spangled Banner.' Charlie Puth played a Rhodes keyboard and wore denim jeans and a tan leather jacket to complete the look and performance.

Brandi Carlile also graced the audience with her acoustic rendition of the song, 'America the Beautiful,' and was followed by Coco Jones' rendition of 'Lift Every Voice and Sing,' with a string section made up of six violinists and two cellists. 90's iconic band Green Day opening ceremony at the pre-game of this year's Super Bowl performed their hit songs from the 90's that included 'American Idiot' and 'Holiday,' as shared by Pitchfork.

The singer-songwriter that gave us the hits, 'See You Again,' 'We Don't Talk Anymore,' and 'Attention' stunned the crowd with a chilling soulful rendition of 'The Star-Spangled Banner' to open the Super Bowl 2026 on 8 February 2026. Puth's moving interpretation of the national anthem, and his performance was powerful.

The U.S. Air Force and Navy closed Charlie Puth's performance with its eight-ship formation that could be seen overhead, as shared by NBC. The 34-year-old performer gave the crowd what they asked for: a pitch-perfect performance. But before that, the crowd was graced with singer-songwriter Coco Jones' rendition of the song, 'Lift Every Voice,' the iconic song written by James Weldon Johnson that has been performed each year at the Super Bowl since 2021.

Punkrock band Green Day's pre-game performance was nothing short of electric, with the 90's icon giving the crowd a snippet of their all-time favourite, 'Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)' to a parade of Super Bowl former MVPs, as well as Steve Young, Joe Montana and Jerry Rice. Billie Joe Armstong and his band proceeded to sing their hits, 'Holiday,' 'American Idiot,' and 'Boulevard of Broken Dreams.'
