Trump Reveals His Pick to Win Super Bowl LX
Trump teased his answer to which team he thinks will be winning Super Bowl LX

President Donald Trump has announced who he would be supporting in Super Bowl LX between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks, though not in the way fans might have expected.
The White House posted a video on X showing Trump in the Oval Office talking about the Super Bowl. But before Trump could reveal who he would be supporting between the Patriots and the Seahawks, the video cuts off. However, the caption seems to hint at which team Trump may be picking: 'IT'S GAMEDAY, PATRIOTS', it reads in part. In the clip, Trump says: 'I have a feeling that this is going to be a great Super Bowl. I watched all season, I've seen these two teams just win win win, I see two great quarterbacks, young great quarterbacks, and everyone wants to hear who I pick and I'll tell you what—'

Trump Heaps Praise on Drake Maye
While Trump may not be revealing who he picks to win Super Bowl LX, there seems to be one particular player he raved about during the pre-game interview with NBC. Trump was effusive about New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye, who has emerged as a player to watch this season.
'I've watched both during the season, and New England is amazing because they have a second coming—he's pretty good', said Trump, referring to Maye. 'Quarterbacks, both good. Seattle's is an amazing comeback quarterback, and is just an amazing quarterback.'

Should Maye and the Patriots win this Super Bowl, Maye would inevitably be compared to Tom Brady, who led the team to six championships during his time there. Still, Trump refused to predict who he thinks will win, doubling down on staying neutral.
'I think it's going to be a great game—I better not make any predictions, you'll get yourself in big trouble, but I think it's going to be a great game', said Trump. 'Seattle's had an amazing season. And New England has a great tradition of winning. Bob Kraft's done a fantastic job. The whole thing is...it's going to be really exciting. The quarterback situation is interesting.'
Trump Comments on Bill Belichick Hall of Fame Snub
Similar to how Trump raved about Maye, he also expressed frustration with Belichick not being a first-ballot Hall of Fame inductee. The snub was met with criticism from both fans and analysts.
'I thought it was terrible', said Trump. 'I mean, he's won so much, won so many Super Bowls—great coach, became a little bit controversial, I guess, after that. During it, he was just a great coach. I thought it was very inappropriate...He has had a little controversial year and a half, two years, maybe. But what difference does that make? He should be in there right at the top.'
Trump Won't Be Attending
In the leadup to Super Bowl LX, Trump previously told the New York Post in an interview back in January that he will not be attending the Super Bowl this year.
'It's just too far away', said Trump. 'I would—I've gotten great hands for the Super Bowl, they like me. I would go if, you know, it was a little bit shorter.'
Trump also expressed his disapproval of this year's Super Bowl performers, among them being Green Day and Bad Bunny, who is set to perform at the halftime show. 'I'm anti-them', said Trump at the time. 'I think it's a terrible choice. All it does is sow hatred. Terrible.'
With Trump having previously said he will not be able to attend the Super Bowl, it is likely he and First Lady Melania Trump will host a watch party instead at the Trump International Golf Club on game day.
