Elton John and David Furnish have reportedly welcomed a second child into their family.

The couple - who starred in the fly-on-the-wall TV series Tantrums and Tiaras - are believed to have become dads again after their surrogate mother gave birth.

It is believed they used the same woman who carried their two-year-old son Zachary in 2010. His mother's identity has never been revealed.

The rumoured arrival means the siblings' birthdays are close together.

"Elton and David want these first few weeks to themselves to bond with the new arrival. Naturally they are thrilled," a source told the Sun.

"It's just a matter of time before an official announcement. They are very protective of their privacy but do want to share this wonderful news. The timing just needs to be right."

John, born Reginald Kenneth Dwight, hinted in July 2012 that couple planned to add to their family.

"I don't want him [Zachary] to be an only child," he said.

Furnish, 50, told friends he was looking forward to a "very special Christmas present".

But John's representative Fran Curtis told The Sun: "We never discuss our clients' personal lives."
