A phone screen lights up, then another. A name trends, a screenshot follows, and suddenly four Filipino actors — Aaron Villaflor, Ron Angeles, Nikko Natividad and Gil Cuerva — are being treated like characters in a story they may not even be in.

By the time most people went looking for the alleged 'sold' clips, there was little to see, with posts, insinuations and dead links where something — anything — was supposed to appear. That absence has done little to calm the chatter; it has only made it stranger, as if the missing footage itself has become proof to the already convinced.

Social media users circulated claims of alleged private videos tied to the four men, with many links removed quickly. Two of the actors have not commented publicly, while the other two have — one with a shrug, the other with a denial that turns the whole story back on the crowd.

A Video Scandal With Very Little Video

The Manila Bulletin reported that alleged private videos involving Villaflor, Angeles, Natividad and Cuerva began circulating online, prompting users across platforms to share photos and argue about whether the supposed scandals were real. It also noted that many people struggled to find working links because most had already been taken down.

That detail matters. A 'video scandal' without accessible video is, in practice, a rumor market — fueled by screenshots, lookalike claims and the familiar social-media habit of treating verification as optional. The Bulletin itself acknowledged the uncertainty, reporting that questions remained over whether the people in the videos were truly the actors or simply resemble them.

One thing the report did pin down is timing: it said there were reports on Feb. 28 that alleged videos were being sold on social media, and that a day later two of the men — Natividad and Cuerva — had not issued any comment. Silence, of course, is not admission; it is just silence, and the internet has never been good at sitting with that.

This Video Scandal Meets Two Very Different Responses

Angeles, 27, offered the briefest response, posting a photo on Facebook with the caption 'Relax lang kayo dyan.' In other words, everybody calm down, an almost teasing posture in the face of an allegation that, even when unproven, can cling like smoke. The Bulletin described Angeles as known for roles in the series Pamilya Sagrado and the film Fuccbois.

Ron Angeles, a renowned actor and model, has been embroiled in a recent viral controversy. In his Facebook profile, he posted a photograph of himself swimming in a pool with the caption, 'Relax lang kayo dyan' (Simply relax there), which can be interpreted as an indirect response to the matter at hand. Villaflor, 35 — who, according to the Bulletin, serves as a member of the Tarlac Provincial Board (2nd district) — went a different route. The report stated that in a Feb. 29, item published by Pep, he framed the supposed 'scandal' as a smear campaign. He also challenged netizens to show proof, while insisting that the only videos presented to him were scenes from his Vivamax films.

His quoted remarks land with the exasperation of someone who has heard the whisper-network before: 'Sabi ko, 'Go! Ipakita ninyo sa akin. E lahat ng ipinakita nila, from my Vivamax projects. Ay naku, napakaram po ng smear campaign. It's part of the political industry, so depende sa iyo on how you're gonna react. (I said, 'Go! Show me. Everything they showed was from my Vivamax projects. Oh my god, there are a lot of smear campaigns. It's part of the political industry, so it's up to you on how you're gonna react),' Aaron also said.

The Bulletin added that Villaflor stars in the upcoming action-thriller Pater Noster: Our Father. IMDb lists a title Pater Noster as being in post-production, with Villaflor in the cast. As for Natividad, 33, and Cuerva, 30, the Bulletin said Natividad recently appeared in Pagpag 24/7 and I Am Not Big Bird and the TV series Lolong: Bayani ng Bayan and Incognito, while Cuerva appeared in the Kapuso series Slay in 2025.
