Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark on Game Of Thrones, talks about her role in season 5 HBO

Game Of Thrones season 5 premiere is right around the corner and, among many things, fans are waiting to see more of the new and now-in-control Sansa Stark.

Sansa broke out of her 'victim-mode' by the end of season 4 where she seized some measure of control in her life by luring master manipulator Littlefinger. In her latest interview with Entertainment Weekly, actress Sophie Turner teased her new "badass" role - a glimpse of which was shown during the end of last year's season 4.

"It was incredible. It was so sick," Turner said about her makeover of sorts that took place at the end of season 4. "It was nice having a change and [to] be able to reflect it outwardly with badassness. That was really fun."

But Turner did tease that this new shrewd and manipulative nature that she adopts, might not last for too long. "It continues to a point."

However, she added: "It's definitely a dark season for her. She just escaped King's Landing, and she goes back to a place where she becomes somewhat of a prisoner again. Despite being a prisoner again, she plays it out very differently this time compared to before. She tries to take command and begins to manipulate the people who are keeping her prisoner—which is nice."

Talking about Sansa and Littlefinger's relationship on the show, Turner stated, "As a duo, they could be a real power duo, not a match as in romantically. They have this weird balance and trust and distrust with each other, and she can somewhat manipulate him, and he can her."

Game Of Thrones season 5 premieres on 12 April on HBO.
