Jamie Raskin Brands Pam Bondi a 'Disgrace' in Extraordinary Retaliation Following 'Washed-Up' Insult
The hearing turned chaotic when Bondi launched a personal 'washed-up' slur at Raskin

The political atmosphere reached a boiling point as a heated confrontation broke out over the long-awaited Epstein documents. Tensions flared when Pam Bondi launched a sharp personal attack against Jamie Raskin during the high-stakes hearing. However, the veteran congressman refused to back down, delivering a swift response to the verbal assault.
During a volatile clash in Congress, US Attorney General Pam Bondi dismissed Democratic Representative Jamie Raskin as a 'washed-up loser lawyer'. Her remarks came as she appeared before the House Judiciary Committee to address the unveiling of millions of documents linked to the disgraced figure Jeffrey Epstein.
Critics claimed the Department of Justice (DOJ) head disregarded those harmed by Epstein—with several victims present in the room—while concealing the names of possible associates through heavy redactions.
A Fiery Exchange on the Committee Floor
Raskin, Maryland's 8th district representative, appealed to the Judiciary Chairman, Ohio's Jim Jordan, to return time to his Democratic colleague Jerry Nadler. Raskin remarked: 'You can let her filibuster all day long, but not on our watch - not on our time, no way. And I told you about that, Attorney General, before you started.'
The Attorney General snapped back, 'You don't tell me anything,' before branding Raskin a 'washed-up, loser lawyer - not even a lawyer.'

Raskin thought he could lecture her? Not today. Love seeing real fighters call out the Dem theatrics! 🔥🇺🇸 pic.twitter.com/D3fIzI8HXb
Addressing Nadler, Bondi stated: 'You said the President conspired, sought foreign interference in the 2016 election. Robert Mueller found no evidence, none, of foreign interference in 2016. Have you apologised to President Trump? You all should be apologising. You sit here, and you attack the President, and I am not going to have it. I'm not going to put up with it.'
She continued by highlighting that 'None of them asked Merrick Garland, over the last four years, one word about Jeffrey Epstein. How ironic is that? You know why? Because Donald Trump.'
Allegations of a Department Cover-Up
Democratic Congressman Ro Khanna and Republican Thomas Massie were the first to look through the unredacted Epstein files on Monday. They hit out at Bondi for withholding the identities of alleged accomplices, noting that Khanna had already named six of those individuals during a House session two days prior. According to Massie, the DOJ's actions amounted to a cover-up of the crimes committed by Epstein.

While Bondi sat there stone-faced, Raskin brought Epstein victims to expose her incompetence. He revealed how she scrubbed Trump's name from files, released victims' names, and held back… pic.twitter.com/9OYFlmn3o4
He confronted Ms Bondi, stating: 'Literally the worst thing you could do to the survivors, you did. If any man's name was redacted that should not have been, we will of course unredact it. If a victim's name was unredacted, please bring it to us, and we will redact it.'
Massie produced three documents during the session, claiming they proved a 'massive failure' by the DOJ in complying with the Epstein Files Transparency Act. Bondi was quick to retaliate, dismissing the Kentucky Congressman as a 'failed politician' and charging him with having 'Trump Derangement Syndrome.'
Allegations of a Department Cover-Up
The Attorney General charged Democratic politicians with hypocrisy, noting their past associations with Epstein after his 2008 conviction for soliciting a minor and subsequent registration as a sex offender.
During a 2019 House Oversight Committee hearing, Stacey Plaskett—the Democratic delegate for the US Virgin Islands—exchanged text messages with Epstein, according to a report by The Guardian. At the time, she was seeking advice on how to question Donald Trump's former fixer, Michael Cohen. A spokesperson for Plaskett later explained: 'Plaskett received texts from staff, constituents and the public at large offering advice, support and in some cases partisan vitriol, including from Epstein.'
Raskin's Blistering Rebuttal
Far from being silenced by the Attorney General's accusations, Raskin responded with a blistering takedown that brought the Epstein dispute to a fever pitch.
The hearing descended into a fierce confrontation as Raskin launched a scathing critique of Pam Bondi, denouncing her management of the Epstein documents as a blatant cover-up.
The room erupted when he branded the Attorney General a 'disgrace' for failing to provide justice, sparking a frustrated outburst from Bondi herself. As legislators on both sides clamoured for transparency regarding Epstein's associates, the session transformed into a volatile arena, highlighting the profound bitterness surrounding this long-running scandal.
