Kristi Noem was left 'devastated' in South Dakota this week after her husband, Bryon Noem, allegedly acknowledged her long-rumoured affair with political adviser Corey Lewandowski while chatting with fetish models in online forums, according to a new Daily Mail exposé published on Tuesday, 31 March.

For context, allegations that Kristi Noem and Corey Lewandowski were involved romantically have swirled around Republican circles since her time as governor of South Dakota in 2019, routinely dismissed in public but described by some insiders as Washington's 'worst-kept secret.'

Both have repeatedly denied any affair. The latest claims do not come from emails or political leaks but from a stranger, speaking under a pseudonym, in a corner of the internet Noem's supporters probably never imagined would be part of her story.

Kristi Noem, Fetish Forums And A Husband Called 'Jason Jackson'

The Daily Mail report reviewed what it described as hundreds of messages, photos, and videos linked to Bryon Noem's alleged participation in online fetish forums. In those chats, he is said to have used the alias 'Jason Jackson' and to have spent at least $25,000 communicating with models in what is known as the 'bimbofication' scene, which fetishises a hyper-feminine, exaggerated appearance, including very large breasts and heavy make-up.

One of the women involved told the outlet that, during an exchange, she asked the man she knew as 'Jason Jackson' directly about the persistent rumours that his wife, Kristi Noem, was having an affair with Corey Lewandowski, 52, who has long been reported as her de facto chief of staff.

'I asked him about it and his response was, 'I know. There's nothing I can do about it,'' the woman claimed. At this stage, however, nothing in those online chats has been independently verified, and any claims about admissions of an affair should be treated with caution.

The same investigation alleged that Bryon did not dispute having messaged sex workers online but pushed back strongly against the idea that he had ever leaked information that might expose Kristi Noem to blackmail. 'Yeah, I made no comments like that, that would lead to that. I deny the second part of that,' he told the outlet, in comments it attributed directly to him.

Kristi Noem 'Blindsided' As Affair Allegations Return

While Kristi Noem herself has so far avoided commenting publicly on her husband's alleged double life or on his supposed remarks about Corey Lewandowski, a spokesperson issued a brief statement to the Daily Mail.

'Ms Noem is devastated. The family was blindsided by this, and they ask for privacy and prayers at the time,' the spokesperson said. It is the sort of tight-lipped, damage-limitation response that signals genuine distress but offers almost nothing by way of detail.

The political fallout is not happening in a vacuum. The news came after a bruising month for Kristi Noem in Washington, where she was removed from her role in Donald Trump's cabinet in early March following a series of congressional hearings. She has since been reassigned as a special envoy to the 'Shield of Americas' initiative, a step down in profile that already had commentators wondering whether her star was fading.

During those hearings, which Corey Lewandowski attended, Democrat congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove confronted Noem directly, asking whether she had 'had sexual relations with Corey Lewandowski.' Noem, serving as secretary of Homeland Security at the time, shot back that she was 'shocked we're going down and peddling tabloid garbage in this committee.'

Both Noem and Lewandowski have consistently denied any affair, and the latest twist does not change that on-the-record position. What it does do is drag her private life further into public view and raise uncomfortable questions about what her husband knew, and when. None of the fresh allegations about his online activity has been tested in court or subjected to independent forensic scrutiny.

A Marriage Under Strain And A Fragile Political Brand

Kristi and Bryon Noem, who married in 1992, have three adult children. Corey Lewandowski, married to Alison Hardy since 2005, has four. Two long-standing conservative families now find themselves lashed to a narrative of sex, secrecy, and power that plays badly in the churchgoing communities both politicians have long courted.

Yet hard facts remain thin. There is no documentary proof in the public domain that Kristi Noem and Corey Lewandowski conducted a romantic relationship, and the only purported confirmation so far comes second-hand from a model recalling a line in an online chat. The suggestion that Bryon 'knew' about an affair rests on that account and the material seen by one tabloid outlet.

Until more evidence emerges, everything sits in that uneasy space between allegation and confirmation where political reputations can still be damaged beyond repair.
