McDonald's International Menu Heist: These Surprising Items From Across The Globe Have Been Added To Canadian Branches

McDonald's Canada is offering a flavour-packed trip around the world without needing a passport. For a limited time, customers can enjoy exclusive menu items inspired by six countries as part of the fast food giant's latest promotion, the 'International Menu Heist'.

Launched on 24 June, the campaign introduces limited-edition items from Japan, Germany, Italy, Belgium, the United Kingdom and Australia. Available at participating McDonald's locations across Canada, the international selection will only be served for a short and unspecified period.

'The International Menu Heist lineup is available for a limited time only at participating Canadian restaurants. Head to your local McDonald's to try all the items before they disappear,' the company announced.

What International Items Are on the Menu?

The new offering features four international meals and two limited-edition dipping sauces. Each item reflects the flavours of its country of origin.

Here is what customers can expect from the 2025 lineup:

• Japan's Teriyaki Chicken Sandwich
  A seasoned and breaded chicken patty topped with teriyaki sauce, lettuce and a creamy mayo-style dressing, served in a sesame seed bun.
• Germany's Big Rösti
  A hearty beef burger layered with hickory-smoked bacon, processed cheese, cheese sauce and a crispy rösti hash brown. The bun is topped with rolled oats for added texture.
• Italy's McPizza Bites
  A snack-sized offering of mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce wrapped in toasted pizza dough. McDonald's says it is the closest version of a pizza you will find on their menu.
• Belgium's Biscoff McFlurry
  A sweet dessert combining McDonald's classic soft serve ice cream with crumbled Biscoff biscuits. 'Now you can picture yourself wandering the cobbled streets of Bruges while enjoying this delicious treat,' the company said.

• United Kingdom's Garlic Mayo-Style Sauce
  A creamy dip with a subtle garlic flavour, popular in the UK and ideal for pairing with McPizza Bites or fries.

In Thailand, diners can order fried chicken with rice and even add a fried egg. In Hong Kong, breakfast menus include Sausage N' Egg Twisty Pasta. New Zealand's Kiwiburger features beetroot and a fried egg on a classic beef patty, while in Portugal, McDonald's serves a variety of soups.

Despite these regional variations, McDonald's maintains a set of core menu items that are recognisable globally. The Big Mac, Chicken McNuggets and French Fries are available in most countries, although the preparation and ingredients may differ slightly based on location.
