Peter Andre has refused to wade into the Beckham family drama but warned 'there will be a lot of hurt' as the fallout from Brooklyn's explosive Instagram statement continues to grip the nation.

The Mysterious Girl singer, 52, appeared on ITV's Lorraine on Thursday to promote his new album Legacy when the conversation turned to the crisis engulfing David and Victoria Beckham. Host Lorraine Kelly noted Andre had managed to 'avoid' a similar public fracture despite his own family spending decades in the spotlight, Manchester Evening News reported.

'It's sad and they're nice people. I've met them many times and they're really lovely people,' Andre told Kelly. 'But it's a difficult thing. Again, we're living in times where everything is open for discussion.'

'I Would Never Get Involved'

Kelly pointed out that without social media drawing eyes to the situation, the issues facing the Beckhams would be 'happening within the family' rather than playing out for millions to dissect online.

'That's why I find it hard when everyone is giving their opinion on it, you just don't know,' Andre replied. 'If I was to give an opinion, who's going to listen anyway? It doesn't matter.'

He went further: 'I would never do something like that, I would never get involved because I know there will be so many things going on that you just don't know. There will be a lot of hurt within it all. It happens to everybody.'

Andre has faced his own share of public scrutiny over the years.

'I've had my fair share. I don't always not deserve criticism, I deserve criticism like anybody else. I know my mistakes,' he admitted. 'It's about not being someone who thinks I have a right to say something about someone else's family when I have things to deal with.'

A Family in the Spotlight

Andre shares children Junior, 20, and Princess, 18, with ex-wife Katie Price. His three youngest with wife Emily MacDonagh, 36, are Amelia, 11, Theo, nine, and Arabella, one. Unlike his older children, who have built careers in the public eye, the younger three have been kept entirely off social media, the Daily Mail noted.

The interview came as Andre campaigns for legislation banning under-16s from social media platforms. He credited MacDonagh with that decision and now fully backs it.

Brooklyn's Bombshell Claims

The Beckham family drama exploded on 19 January when Brooklyn, 26, released a lengthy Instagram statement accusing David and Victoria of controlling narratives and attempting to 'ruin' his relationship with wife Nicola Peltz Beckham.

'I do not want to reconcile with my family,' he wrote. 'I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life.'

Brooklyn alleged his mother cancelled making Nicola's wedding dress 'in the eleventh hour' and 'hijacked' his first dance at their April 2022 Palm Beach wedding. He also claimed his parents pressured him to sign away the rights to his name weeks before the ceremony.

The situation has drawn comparisons to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's fallout with the Royal Family.

David Beckham, 50, has avoided directly addressing his son's allegations. Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos days after the post, he said only that 'children are allowed to make mistakes' and 'that's how they learn,' ITV News reported. Neither he nor Victoria has issued a formal response.
