News have just come in, that a plane carrying up to 118 passengers and nine crew members, has crashed near Islamabad international airport in bad weather. According to Aviation officials the Bhoja Air plane, flight BHO-213, was flying from Karachi to Islamabad when it crashed in bad weather near Chaklala, Rawalpindi.

Emergency teams were reported to be on their way to the crash site, near Baria Town residential complex. But they are believed to be hampered by heavy rain and darkness. It is not known if there are any survivors.

Reports suggest the plane was making its final approach to the airport when the crash happened.

The Defence Minister Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhar said it burst into flames before it came down a few miles from the airport.
