Rob Schneider Says Minnesota Protests are Happening Because of Democrats
Rob Schneider blamed Democrats' immigration stances on the ongoing ICE protests in Minnesota

Conservative actor Rob Schneider has blamed Democrats for ongoing protests in Minnesota following fatal shootings of civilians by ICE and Border Patrol officers. In a post on X, Schneider quote-reposted a video from an account called End Wokeness showing groups of people crossing a knee-deep body of water, which the account appeared to suggest depicted migrants crossing the southern border into the US.
'Dear Minnesotans (and paid protesters) you are protesting because Democrats ALLOWED THIS,' Schneider wrote, responding to the original post that stated: 'Don't forget how it all began...'

Schneider Blasts Minneapolis Mayor
Schneider also criticised Democratic Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey on Friday during an appearance on the 'PBD Podcast'. The actor labelled Frey 'a lunatic' and 'a disgrace' for his stance on the fatal shooting of Renee Good by ICE agent Jonathan Ross, arguing the mayor's rhetoric was only stoking tensions in the city.
'That guy is a lunatic,' Schneider said, referring to Frey. 'And we have lunatics who are running our cities. That exposes so many things. They would rather have their city fall apart. They would rather be overrun by people who are not citizens. They don't care about the safety of their particular citizens. It's all a political show and that guy is a disgrace and I think you see that.'
Schneider characterised the Democratic mayor as 'a bad faith actor' who was deliberately inflaming the situation for political gain. 'He doesn't have what's best in mind. He's not trying to calm down the situation, he's using this as a time to drum things up to make things more difficult. Because it's just a political warfare. That's what we're dealing with,' the actor continued.
Frey Calls for Removal of Federal Officers
Frey most recently spoke out about another shooting that occurred over the weekend, in which a man named Alex Pretti was shot by ICE agents and later died from his injuries. Similar to the defence offered in Good's shooting, the Department of Homeland Security maintained that Pretti's shooting was in self-defence, despite video footage taken by protesters surrounding the agents appearing to show otherwise.
Federal officers deployed batons and flash bangs to disperse the demonstrators encircling them. Pretti's death came several weeks after Good's fatal shooting.
'How many more residents, how many more Americans, need to die or get badly hurt for this operation to end?' said Frey at a press conference following the incident. 'How many more lives need to be lost before this administration realises that a political and partisan narrative is not as important as American values?'
The mayor directly addressed President Donald Trump, urging him to prioritise American values and order the removal of federal officers from Minneapolis.
'How many more times must local and national leaders plead with you, Donald Trump, to end this operation and recognise that this is not creating safety in our city?' Frey continued. 'We have seen these kinds of operations in other places, in other countries, but not here in America, not in a way where a great American city is being invaded by its own federal government.'
'I'm done being told that our community members are responsible for the vitriol in our streets,' Frey added. 'I'm done being told that our local elected officials are solely responsible for turning down the temperature.'
