Tesco, the UK's biggest supermarket chain, will be looking to attract bargain hunters with huge discounts both in-store and online this Christmas.

Tesco's Black Friday deals were among the most popular of any UK retailer last month, so much so that the company's website fell over instantly at midnight on 27 November meaning thousands of people were unable to access the deals advertised.

Tesco is set to offer specials on a wide range of products on Boxing Day, including televisions, games consoles, video games, kitchen appliances, audio equipment and toys, as it looks to capitalise on the public's insatiable desire for a bargain.

Tesco Boxing Day Deals

Tesco has yet to reveal any specifics about pricing and if it follows the trend set with Black Friday, the company is likely to keep the deals under wraps until the last minute.

Also, considering the fact that people will be shopping for Christmas presents right up until the last minute, it won't want to put people off by showing them better deals they could get in just a few days time.

Tesco has said that its online store - Tesco Direct - will begin offering Boxing Day sales on the 26th, which should mean that they begin at midnight on Christmas Day.

Tesco Stores Boxing Day opening hours

Tesco stores will open their doors at 8am on Boxing Day which will give bargain hunters enough time to sleep off that extra glass of port before heading out to brave the queues.

If we see a repeat of Black Friday madness then you might want to invest in a crash helmet and some shoulder pads to protect yourself from injury.

This page will be updated as and when we get more details about Tesco's Boxing Day deals.
