Whoopi Goldberg Denies Dating Epstein, Says They Were Never Friends Despite Name Mention in Files
Goldberg denies ties to Epstein, seeks accountability from those involved

Whoopi Goldberg is one of the many celebrities whose names were mentioned in the Epstein files. Even though Jeffrey Epstein is long gone, his terrible deeds continue to live on. Justice has not been served for his victims, and the public is urging those who were friends with him to speak out and take accountability for their actions.
Some of the high-profile personalities whose names were mentioned in the Epstein files include Elon Musk, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Sarah Ferguson, Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, Richard Branson, Steve Bannon, and more.
What Does Whoopi Goldberg Have to Say?
Unlike some of these personalities, Goldberg has chosen not to stay quiet and to explain why her name was mentioned in the Epstein files. During a recent episode of The View, the host stressed the fact that she was never friends with Epstein and said that the two of them did not date either, contrary to the ongoing rumours.
The files mentioned that Goldberg needed a plane to attend an event, and John Lennon's charity would be paying for it. 'The Sister Act' star said that this was true, but she never rode the private plane because she is afraid of flying. 'I was not his girlfriend. I was not his friend. I am speaking about me because I am getting dragged. People actually believe that I was with him. Every man I have been with, you have known about him because either the Enquirer wrote about it. People wrote about this stuff', she said.
Demands for Accountability
Fellow 'The View' host Sara Haines came to Goldberg's defence and said that anyone's name could be on the list. After all, high-profile personalities often cross paths with each other. She said that what she is looking for is accountability from those whose names have appeared in the files. 'I think the part most people, including myself, are looking for is an accountability for the people that had a depth of relationship, the timing of that relationship and the nature of that relationship', she said.
Whoopi Goldberg finally breaks her silence on being exposed for BEGGING to use Jeffrey Epstein’s plane and getting DENIED. You can’t make this stuff up! 🤣

Donald Trump and Epstein Files
'The View' co-host Joy Behar then pointed out the fact that Donald Trump also appeared in the Epstein files but stressed that the president was mentioned over 30,000 times. Goldberg said that she could not speak on Trump's behalf, but she wants to explain why her name was also mentioned. 'People actually believe I was with him. Every man I have ever been with, you have known about. People wrote about this. And no, I did not get on the plane', she said.
This is not the first time that Goldberg denied claims that she used to be friends with Epstein. In 2024, the host said that she did not frequent Epstein's island. She said that all the talks linking her to Epstein are harmful.
Ongoing Investigations
The inquest into Epstein's wrongful deeds will continue in the coming weeks. The public is upset over the fact that the files are only being released now when they could have been released years earlier. There have also been allegations of a possible cover-up by the Department of Justice. 'I think that the Department of Justice has been in a cover-up mode for many months and has been trying to sweep the entire thing under the rug', Maryland Rep Jamie Raskin said.
