Croatia: Firefighter Takes Magic Carpet Ride on Metal Sheet in High Winds [VIDEO]

A firefighter went for an unexpected ride on a flying carpet made from metal in amazing footage from Croatia.

High winds battering the city of Rijeka lifted the large piece of sheet metal clean in the air while the man was still squatting on it.

He had been trying to hold it down but the gale blew so hard that it sent him airborne along with the sheet.

In scenes captured on video, the sheet travelled several feet before liftoff and then crashed in to a wall with the fireman still on it.

The incident happened as the strongest winds in a decade battered Rijeka.

His crewmate is see dashing to help him after the flight. Both were uninjured, sources reported.
