Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus, which scored a winner with its very first One smartphone, both in terms of pre-release hype as well as impressive sales figures, has confirmed the launch of the successor to OnePlus One.
This smartphone, tentatively termed OnePlus Two, is expected to be launched during Q2/Q3 2015 as hinted by the company's own global director Carl Pei.
Naturally, various rumoured technical specifications of the next-gen OnePlus One have been doing the rounds online.
Now, a new report claims that the next-gen OnePlus One (expected to be called OnePlus Two) will offer users better performance by means of a better processor, along with an improved display (with improved resolution) and better RAM.
OnePlus Two is rumoured to get a price tag of $435 (£287).
Overall, the new aspects outed by the latest report is as below:
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor
- 5.5in display with comparatively better resolution than the current-gen OnePlus One
- Android 5.0
- 4GB RAM onboard
- 3300 mAh battery
- Higher price tag
Besides, a second smaller OnePlus Two is also said to be in the offing, to cater to buyers preferring smaller smartphones. This handset is speculated to have technical aspects similar to that of the Oppo R5 (thickness of 4.85 mm, and weighing 155g).

Once official, OnePlus Two is also expected to offer additional support to users such as MicroSD card and dual SIM-card slots.
Current-gen OnePlus One available for purchase without invite on 20 January
OnePlus One will be available for online purchase without an invite on 20 January. Both the Silk White 16GB (priced at $299, £198) and the Sandstone Black 64GB (priced at $349, £231) smartphone variants will be available.
